This is a "hide-a-shelf" mechanism designed primarily as a mixer lift in kitchens, but can also be used in a variety of other applications. It is a great way to put storage space to work while saving valuable countertop space. The two heavy duty compensating springs keep the shelf parallel and weight balanced.
