The GSH05 features a 2-1/4" cutting capacity at 90° and 1-5/8" at 45°, with a 0-50° bevel capacity with positive stops at 22.5°, 45°, and 50°. The saw features electric brake for maximum productivity. It features a die-cast magnesium base, blade guard, and blade cover provide a lightweight design weighs only 7.9lb. with 4.0Ah battery
Convenience features include a L.E.D. light with preglow and afterglow illuminates the work area, and a retractable extra wide tool hook that secures the tool when not in use. The GSH05 features a compact and ergonomic design at only 11-3/4" long without battery (sold separately).
The saw is also equipped with Extreme Protection Technology (XPT), which is a series of integrated seals designed to improve a tool's operation in harsh conditions by channeling water and dust from key internal components.
The GSH05 features the Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS), which uses Bluetooth technology for wireless power-on and power-off communication between the equipped tool and dust extractor. Once connected via AWS, the AWS-equipped dust extractor will automatically power on or off when the AWS-equipped cordless tool starts or stops, running only when the tool is in use. This increases productivity on a single charge and reduces continuous noise at the job or work site.

Takes another step toward a truly cordless job site with Auto-Start Wireless System. AWS uses Bluetooth technology for wireless power-on and power-off communication between the equipped tool and dust extractor. AWS is intelligent communication that eliminates cords and excessive noise since the dust extractor runs only when trigger-activated by an AWS tool. When the trigger is released, the dust extractor powers-down. The AWS dust extractor (XCV08Z) is powered by two 18V LXT batteries for maximum performance, and users benefit with an expanding AWS system that includes cordless tools for concrete, metal and woodworking.
