A Freestanding Sink Built for Spaces Where Design Does the Talking
The Karran Cinox CCP400 is a stainless steel freestanding pedestal sink designed for bathrooms where the fixture itself is a focal point. Its sleek round silhouette and Gunmetal Gray finish bring a refined, industrial character to vanity spaces that go beyond a standard vanity cabinet setup.
Key Features
• Freestanding pedestal design eliminates the need for a vanity cabinet, keeping floor space open and sight lines clean.
• Round bowl profile offers a contemporary geometric form suited to modern and transitional bathroom aesthetics.
• Gunmetal Gray finish delivers a deep, matte-adjacent tone that coordinates with darker hardware and fixtures without competing with them.
• Stainless steel construction provides a durable, non-porous surface that holds up to daily use in a residential bathroom setting.
• Compact 16-1/2 inch footprint works in powder rooms, en suites, and secondary baths where space is at a premium.
Where This Sink Earns Its Place
Freestanding pedestal sinks serve a different function than undermount or drop-in models. Without a cabinet below, plumbing lines are exposed, so this fixture suits bathrooms where that exposure is embraced as a design element rather than hidden. It works naturally in powder rooms that see guests, primary baths designed around a hotel aesthetic, and renovation projects where a floating or open-plan look is the goal. The 32-5/8 inch overall height places the basin at a comfortable working height for most adults without requiring countertop support.
Material and Finish
Stainless steel is the defining material of the Cinox collection. It cleans quickly, resists staining from everyday bathroom products, and holds its appearance without requiring specialty care products. The Gunmetal Gray finish sets this model apart from brushed or polished stainless options, offering a darker, more moody surface treatment. It coordinates well with matte black faucets, dark tile grout, and industrial-influenced hardware throughout the space. Pair the faucet finish intentionally — Gunmetal Gray reads differently under warm versus cool lighting, so matching it in person or by finish sample is worthwhile before finalizing a faucet selection.
Who This Is For
This sink appeals to designers specifying for a residential bathroom with a strong visual identity, homeowners renovating a powder room or primary bath who want the fixture to stand independently, and contractors whose clients have requested a statement-piece sink with a reduced install footprint. Because there is no cabinet to build or modify, the pedestal installation is self-contained — the sink stands, plumbing connects, and the fixture reads as a complete object in the room.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this sink require a dedicated pedestal base, or does it stand on its own?
The CCP400 is a complete freestanding unit. The pedestal column is integral to the sink assembly, so no separate cabinet, base, or support structure is required. Confirm rough-in plumbing placement against the sink's supply and drain locations before installation.
What faucet configuration does this sink accept?
Faucet hole count and placement for this model are not detailed in the available source data. Confirm the faucet drilling configuration from the manufacturer's spec sheet or contact product support before selecting a faucet. Vessel or deck-mount faucets designed for pedestal applications are typically appropriate for this sink type.
Is a drain assembly included with the sink?
Drain assembly inclusion is not confirmed in the available product data for this SKU. Plan to source a compatible drain separately and verify the drain opening size against the sink's spec sheet before ordering.
How does the Gunmetal Gray finish hold up in a high-use bathroom?
Stainless steel is non-porous and resists the staining and soap buildup common in bathroom environments. Routine cleaning with a soft cloth and mild cleaner is sufficient. Avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemical cleaners that could mar the surface finish.
Is this sink appropriate for a commercial bathroom application?
No commercial, ADA, or code listing has been confirmed in the available source data for this model. For commercial projects where code compliance or ADA conformance is required, verify certification status directly with Karran before specifying.
A Fixture Worth Specifying by Name
In a bathroom where the sink is the room's defining object rather than a background utility, the Cinox CCP400 in Gunmetal Gray delivers a strong, coherent look that holds up as well as it photographs — and that is a standard worth holding hardware to.
