A Matte White Acrylic Vessel Bowl For Design-Forward Vanities
The Karran Quattro QM172WH is an above-counter vessel sink that brings a clean rectangular profile and soft matte white finish to bathroom vanities where the bowl itself is meant to be seen. Made from acrylic, it sits on top of the vanity surface and pairs with a taller vessel faucet, making it a straightforward way to update a vanity without a full countertop replacement.
Key Features
• Vessel mount installation positions the bowl above the counter, keeping the vanity top visible and eliminating the need for a countertop cutout beyond the drain opening.
• Rectangular bowl shape delivers a contemporary, architectural profile that reads as intentional in modern and transitional bathroom designs.
• Matte White finish gives the bowl a soft, non-reflective surface that works alongside brushed and matte hardware finishes.
• Acrylic construction keeps the bowl lightweight for straightforward installation and resists everyday bathroom wear.
• Single bowl configuration provides an uninterrupted basin footprint suited to most vanity widths.
Where This Sink Works Best
Vessel sinks change the visual weight of a bathroom vanity by raising the bowl above the surface rather than recessing it below. That makes this Quattro bowl a practical pick for renovation projects where the countertop is staying put — a drain opening is all that's needed in the surface itself. It's equally suited to new-build vanities designed around an above-counter bowl from the start. Cabinet shops and designers specifying bathroom packages will find the rectangular form and matte finish easy to coordinate with drawer pulls, faucets, and mirrors in a current finish palette. For homeowners, it's a visible upgrade that doesn't require stone fabrication or a full countertop tear-out.
Material, Finish, and Build
Karran's Quattro line uses acrylic throughout, which keeps weight low relative to vitreous china or quartz composite bowls of comparable size. The Matte White finish is a factory-applied surface treatment — not a glaze — giving the bowl its subdued tone. Acrylic is a workable, impact-tolerant material for a bathroom vanity context. Because this is a vessel installation, the bowl sits exposed on all sides above the counter, so the exterior finish is as visible as the interior. The Matte White color complements both warm and cool white vanity tops and coordinates across the Karran faucet and accessory finish range.
Installation and Pairing Notes
Vessel sinks like this one mount above the countertop, so plan for a taller vessel faucet — a standard-height deck faucet will sit too low relative to the bowl's rim once it's in place. The drain opening in the vanity top is the only cutout required. No faucet holes are drilled in the bowl; the faucet mounts through the vanity top or wall beside it. A drain assembly is not included with the sink and should be ordered separately, sized for a standard lavatory drain opening.
FAQ
Does this sink include a drain?
No. A drain assembly is not included and should be ordered separately. Choose a pop-up drain sized for a standard lavatory drain opening and confirm it is compatible with a vessel (no-overflow) bowl.
Does this bowl have an overflow opening?
No. Vessel sinks in the Quattro line do not include an integral overflow. When selecting a drain, choose the version made for sinks without overflow.
What type of faucet should I use with a vessel sink?
Karran directs taller vessel faucets for above-counter bowl installations. A standard-height faucet will clear the vanity top but not the bowl rim, making it difficult to use comfortably. Wall-mount faucets are also compatible when the rough-in is positioned for a vessel installation.
Can the bowl be undermounted instead of vessel-mounted?
No. This model is designed as a vessel sink and is intended for above-counter installation only. For an undermount acrylic bowl in the Karran lineup, a different model would be needed.
Is this sink suitable for a commercial restroom?
This is a residential-style vanity bowl. For commercial or ADA applications, verify that the installation height and clearances meet the applicable guidelines, as this sink is not documented with a conditional ADA statement from the manufacturer.
