Matte Black Vessel Faucet Built for Above-Counter Bowls
The Karran Woodburn KBF412MB is a single-handle vessel bathroom faucet engineered specifically for above-counter bowl installations. Its extended spout height delivers water cleanly into a vessel sink while the Matte Black finish grounds the look with a bold, contemporary finish that coordinates across an entire vanity setup. A matching pop-up drain is included, so the bowl and drain arrive as a coordinated pair.
Key Features
• Vessel-height design: The 11-5/8 inch overall height is sized to reach comfortably over an above-counter vessel bowl without crowding the spout against the rim.
• Single-hole deck mount: Installs through one deck or countertop opening, keeping the vanity surface clean and uncluttered.
• Single-handle control: One lever manages both flow and temperature, reducing the deck footprint and simplifying everyday use.
• Matching pop-up drain included: A Matte Black pop-up drain ships with the faucet, delivering a finished, coordinated look from the start.
• Matte Black finish: A defined, on-trend finish that resists the fingerprints and water spots that show on polished surfaces.
• Karran Woodburn collection: Part of a named collection that spans multiple configurations, making it straightforward to match fixtures across a bathroom remodel.
The Right Faucet for a Vessel Bowl Installation
Vessel sinks sit above the countertop, and a standard-height lavatory faucet simply cannot reach the bowl properly. The Woodburn's taller profile solves that directly. Whether the vessel bowl is quartz composite, vitreous china, or solid surface, the spout height brings water to where it belongs without requiring the faucet to lean over the rim. For designers and contractors specifying a vessel vanity from scratch, the included pop-up drain removes one more line item from the sourcing list. For homeowners replacing an existing vessel faucet, the single-hole mount fits most vessel-ready vanity tops without additional drilling.
Finish and Build That Holds Its Look
Matte Black is one of the more demanding finishes to maintain on a polished surface, but a true matte surface is far more forgiving. Water drops and fingerprints that would show immediately on Chrome or Brushed Gold tend to disappear into the Matte Black's low-sheen texture. The Woodburn's finish is applied through a PVD process on lead-free brass construction, giving the faucet body the material integrity and finish durability a bathroom fixture needs over years of daily use. The pop-up drain carries the same Matte Black finish, so the two pieces read as a set rather than a near-match.
Who Specifies the Woodburn KBF412MB
Interior designers building out a monochromatic or mixed-metal bathroom scheme reach for Matte Black hardware because it anchors a space without competing with stone, tile, or cabinetry finishes. Cabinet shops supplying a complete vanity package benefit from having the faucet and drain resolved in a single SKU. Contractors installing a vessel vanity appreciate the straightforward single-hole mount and the fact that the drain is already in the box. Homeowners who want a cohesive upgrade without piecing together compatible components find the included drain takes one decision off the table entirely.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the included pop-up drain work with sinks that have an integral overflow?
The drain version included with the Woodburn should be matched to the bowl's overflow status. Confirm whether your vessel bowl has an integral overflow before installing; the drain must be the correct version for the bowl it serves. If your bowl has an overflow, verify the included drain is the overflow-compatible version before ordering.
Can this faucet be used with an undermount or top mount sink instead of a vessel?
The Woodburn's 11-5/8 inch overall height is designed for vessel installations where the bowl sits above the counter. For undermount or top mount sinks, a shorter lavatory faucet in the Woodburn collection is the better fit, since a vessel-height faucet would place the spout too high above a flush-mounted bowl.
What countertop thickness will the single-hole mount accommodate?
Specific maximum deck thickness is not published in the available source data for this model. Verify the mounting hardware clearance against your countertop thickness before installation, particularly on thicker stone or built-up surfaces.
Is the Matte Black finish consistent between the faucet and the drain?
Both the faucet and the included pop-up drain carry the Matte Black finish, so they are matched as a set from the factory. As with any two components, confirm the finish name before pairing with third-party accessories from other brands.
One SKU, a Finished Vessel Vanity
The Woodburn KBF412MB brings the faucet and drain together in one order, in a finish built for the way bathroom hardware actually gets used every day. For any vessel bowl installation where Matte Black is the direction, this is the natural starting point.
