Single-Lever Control With a Polished Chrome Finish Built for the Vanity
The Karran Dartford KBF430C is a single-handle basin bathroom faucet in Chrome that brings streamlined one-handed temperature and flow control to any single-hole vanity installation. A matching pop-up drain ships in the box, so the finish coordinates from spout to drain without a separate accessory order.
Key Features
• Single-hole deck mount installs through one opening in the vanity deck or countertop.
• Single-lever handle manages both water temperature and flow rate from one control.
• Pop-up drain included arrives in matching Chrome finish, eliminating a separate accessory purchase.
• Chrome finish delivers a high-gloss, light-reflecting surface that pairs cleanly with a wide range of hardware and fixtures.
• Lead-free brass construction meets potable-water material standards throughout the faucet body.
Where Single-Lever Simplicity Pays Off
A single-handle faucet earns its place wherever quick, one-handed adjustments matter. In a busy household bathroom, one lever covers the full range from cold rinse to warm wash without reaching across two handles. For an accessible vanity where reach and grip matter, there is no second handle to hunt for. The single-hole footprint also keeps the deck uncluttered, which suits vessel-style installations on a slab countertop or a tighter vanity where a three-hole spread would crowd the layout. Because the pop-up drain ships with the faucet in the same Chrome finish, the finished installation looks intentional rather than assembled from separate orders.
Chrome Finish and Lead-Free Brass
Chrome is the benchmark finish for bathrooms that prioritize brightness and long-term coordination flexibility. The high-gloss surface reflects light evenly and wipes clean without specialized products. The Dartford's faucet body is lead-free brass, the material standard for fixtures in potable-water contact. The pop-up drain carries the same Chrome designation, so the counter level and the bowl drain read as one cohesive spec rather than a close-but-not-quite pairing.
Right Fit for This Faucet
The Dartford KBF430C suits undermount and top-mount lavatory bowls where a standard-height faucet clears the rim comfortably. It is sized for vanity deck or countertop installation through a single hole, which makes it the right choice for sink decks drilled with one opening and for stone or solid surface countertops where the faucet mounts through the counter. Designers specifying a coordinated vanity package will find that the included drain removes one line from the accessories schedule. Cabinet shops building vanity cabs for resale and contractors staging bathroom installs benefit from a single SKU that delivers faucet and drain together, reducing the chance of a finish mismatch at final trim.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the pop-up drain work with sinks that have an integral overflow?
Check your sink's overflow status before ordering. Pop-up drains are made in with-overflow and without-overflow versions, and the two are not interchangeable. Confirm which version ships with this model matches your bowl, or order the correct Karran drain accessory separately if your bowl's overflow configuration differs.
Will this faucet work on a vessel sink?
The Dartford KBF430C is sized for standard undermount and top-mount lavatory bowls. Vessel sinks sit above the counter and need a taller faucet to clear the bowl rim. For a vessel installation, select a vessel-height faucet from the Karran line.
What is the faucet's overall height?
The SAP description states 7-11/16 inches overall height. Confirm against the current Karran specification sheet for this model before planning cabinetry or backsplash clearances, as published dimensions are nominal.
Is the Chrome finish on the drain an exact match to the faucet?
Both the faucet and the included pop-up drain carry the Chrome finish designation from the same manufacturer, which is the closest available coordination. Finish perception can vary slightly under different lighting conditions, but Chrome-to-Chrome within the Karran line is the intended pairing.
One Faucet, One Drain, One Finish Decision
The Dartford KBF430C simplifies the vanity specification by pairing a clean single-lever faucet with a coordinated Chrome pop-up drain in one SKU. The result is a finished installation that looks considered, installs through a single hole, and skips the accessory-matching step entirely.
