Karran Kadoma Touchless Faucet for Hands-Free Kitchen Workflow
The Kadoma is Karran's touch-free sensor kitchen faucet, designed for cooks and fabricators who want water on demand without touching the handle. A wave of the hand starts the flow; the single lever still sets temperature and volume whenever you prefer manual control. This model ships in Gunmetal Gray, a deep matte tone that holds its look under daily kitchen use.
Key Features
• Touch-free motion sensor activates water with a wave of the hand alongside the manual lever for full flexibility.
• Dual-function spray head switches between an aerated stream and a powerful spray for rinsing and scrubbing tasks.
• Single-hole mounting keeps the deck clean and installs through one countertop or sink-deck opening.
• Gunmetal Gray finish delivers a bold, matte look that coordinates with darker hardware palettes and Karran's matching accessories.
• Ceramic cartridge rated to 1.5 million cycles provides long-term valve reliability per Karran's specification.
• Lead-free brass construction meets potable-water compliance requirements as stated on the manufacturer's spec sheet.
Where the Hands-Free Function Pays Off
The sensor makes the biggest difference when both hands are occupied: pulling a roasting pan from the oven, handling raw protein, or working through a long prep session. A wave starts the water and another stops it, keeping the handle clean and reducing cross-contamination opportunities at the sink. Fabricators finishing a countertop installation also appreciate being able to rinse without transferring adhesive or silicone to the faucet body. The lever remains fully functional for situations where you want precise control over temperature before the water touches food or a surface.
Finish and Construction
Gunmetal Gray is one of Karran's deeper matte options and pairs well with dark pulls, Matte Black fixtures, and darker quartz or concrete-look countertop surfaces. The PVD finish process bonds the color to the brass body for lasting surface integrity under repeated contact and cleaning. Karran's nylon braided hose runs color-matched to the finish group, so the hardware reads as a coordinated unit even where the hose is visible under the deck. The ceramic cartridge, rated to 1.5 million cycles by the manufacturer, is the mechanical core of both the sensor mode and the manual lever.
Who This Faucet Fits Best
Homeowners remodeling a kitchen around a bold, dark hardware palette will find the Gunmetal Gray finish anchors the look without competing with statement tile or cabinetry. Cabinet shops and installers setting up a sink display or a working demonstration kitchen benefit from the sensor's wow factor alongside practical daily use. The single-hole footprint suits undermount sinks with no faucet deck, where the faucet mounts directly through the countertop, as well as top mount sinks with a single pre-drilled hole. It is an indoor kitchen application; the brass body and PVD finish are not rated for exterior or wet-environment use beyond a standard kitchen installation.
Can the sensor be turned off and the faucet used in manual mode only?
Yes. The single lever operates independently of the sensor, so the faucet functions as a standard manual faucet whenever the sensor is not needed or is switched off.
What countertop materials does the single-hole mount work with?
Single-hole mounting works through stone, quartz composite, solid surface, laminate, and stainless countertops, provided the hole diameter matches the faucet's mounting hardware. Verify the hole size against the spec sheet before cutting.
Does this faucet include supply lines?
Mounting hardware and hot and cold water supply lines are included with Karran kitchen faucets where stated on the spec sheet. Confirm the included-components list on the spec sheet for this model before ordering additional plumbing supplies.
Is there a coordinating soap dispenser available in Gunmetal Gray?
Karran offers soap dispensers (SD25 and SD35 series) in finishes that coordinate with the kitchen faucet line. Check the accessory listings for a Gunmetal Gray dispenser to complete the sink deck.
A Faucet That Works as Hard as the Kitchen Does
The Kadoma in Gunmetal Gray combines hands-free convenience, a proven ceramic valve, and a finish built for kitchens that see real use. It handles the everyday without asking for much in return.
