Hands-Free Control in a Bold Gunmetal Gray Finish
The Karran Loxton is a touchless, single-handle pull-down sprayer kitchen faucet finished in Gunmetal Gray, designed for kitchens where both hygiene and aesthetics drive the spec. A built-in motion sensor starts and stops water with a wave of the hand, while the single lever handles flow and temperature control when preferred. Single-hole mounting keeps the install straightforward, and the Gunmetal Gray finish anchors the look with depth and character.
Key Features
• Touch-free motion sensor activates water flow with a hand wave, leaving the lever free for temperature and volume control.
• Pull-down spray head delivers a retractable reach into the bowl on a nylon braided hose color-matched to the Gunmetal Gray finish.
• Single-hole mounting fits standard sink decks and countertop drillings, with mounting hardware included.
• Ceramic cartridge rated to 1.5 million cycles for long-term, drip-resistant valve performance per the manufacturer's specification.
• Lead-free brass construction under a durable PVD finish, as stated on the specification sheet.
• Gunmetal Gray finish coordinates with dark-toned hardware and fixtures for a cohesive kitchen aesthetic.
Where the Touchless Function Earns Its Place
A motion-sensor faucet makes the most difference when hands are consistently occupied or contaminated: butchering, pastry work, or any task where touching a handle means stopping to wash first. The Loxton's sensor lets a cook, baker, or prep cook trigger water without breaking stride. For households with children or anyone who prefers a completely contact-free hand-washing station at the kitchen sink, the always-available lever sits beside the sensor as a backup. The result is a faucet that adapts to the moment rather than requiring the user to adapt to it.
Finish, Materials, and Build
The Gunmetal Gray finish is applied by PVD, a process that bonds the color at the surface level for resistance to wear under daily kitchen conditions. Karran's spec sheets list lead-free brass as the faucet body material beneath the finish. The nylon braided hose running the pull-down head is color-matched to the gray-toned finish family, keeping the under-sink components visually consistent. The ceramic cartridge, rated by the manufacturer to 1.5 million operating cycles, sits at the core of the valve and controls mix without the drip-and-rebuild cycle of older rubber-seat valves.
The Right Kitchen for This Faucet
Gunmetal Gray reads as a neutral dark tone that pairs naturally with matte black fixtures, brushed hardware, or dark cabinet finishes. A remodel pairing charcoal shaker doors with dark pulls and a Gunmetal Gray faucet produces a cohesive, intentional finish palette without relying on chrome or bright accents. The Loxton also fits a kitchen where the homeowner simply wants the tap to keep up with how they actually cook: busy, both-hands-full, and not always in a position to twist a lever. Single-hole mounting means it drops into virtually any existing or new sink deck drilled for a standard kitchen faucet.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can the sensor be bypassed and the faucet used as a standard lever faucet?
Yes. The single lever operates independently of the motion sensor, so the faucet functions as a conventional handle-controlled faucet whenever the sensor is not needed or while the sensor's power source is interrupted.
Does this faucet come with supply lines?
Mounting hardware is included. For confirmed supply-line contents, check the product specification sheet or the What's Included section for this SKU, as supply-line inclusion varies across the Karran kitchen line.
Will Gunmetal Gray coordinate with Karran's Gunmetal Gray soap dispensers?
Karran offers SD25 and SD35 soap dispensers in matching finishes. Confirm the Gunmetal Gray dispenser option against the accessory catalog to ensure a finish match before ordering.
How many spray functions does the pull-down head offer?
The number of spray functions is specified per model in Karran's line tables. Review the specification sheet for the KKF228GG to confirm whether this head is a 1-function or 2-function configuration before purchasing.
A Faucet That Works the Way a Kitchen Does
The Loxton in Gunmetal Gray brings touch-free convenience and a purposeful dark finish together in a single-hole faucet built from lead-free brass with a ceramic valve at its core. It is a practical upgrade for any kitchen where keeping the tap out of the way is as important as how it looks.
