Extra-Large Single Basin Quartz Sink for Serious Kitchen Workflows
The Karran QT-722 is an extra-large single-bowl undermount kitchen sink in quartz composite, sized at 34 by 22 by 9 inches in Gray. Its uninterrupted basin handles full sheet pans, large pots, and commercial prep work that a divided sink simply cannot accommodate.
Key Features
• Extra-large single bowl gives you an uninterrupted 34 by 22 inch basin for oversize cookware and sheet pans.
• Quartz composite construction combines 80% natural quartz crystals with 20% acrylic resin for a highly scratch-, stain-, chip-, and heat-resistant surface.
• Undermount installation positions the sink beneath the countertop for a clean, wipe-flush counter edge and a professional finish.
• Gray quartz finish complements a wide range of countertop materials and kitchen color schemes.
• Nine-inch bowl depth provides generous capacity for soaking, washing, and containing splashes.
Built for the Full-Size Kitchen Work Zone
A single unbroken basin this size earns its place at the primary wash station in any serious kitchen. Without a center divider, you can lay full-size baking sheets flat on the bottom grid, submerge a stock pot without tilting it sideways, or set up a colander inside the bowl without losing half the workspace. That kind of flexibility matters in a busy kitchen where the sink is in constant rotation between prep, cooking, and cleanup.
The 34-inch footprint fits a 36-inch base cabinet and suits new construction or a full countertop replacement where the sink base is being specified from scratch. Because the faucet mounts through the countertop rather than the sink deck, the basin stays uncluttered and the countertop material choice drives faucet placement.
Quartz Composite That Handles Daily Demands
Karran's quartz composite is 80% natural quartz crystals bound in 20% acrylic resin. The result is a material that resists the scratches and stains of everyday kitchen use, holds up to the thermal variation of a working sink, and does not chip the way ceramic finishes can. The Gray colorway runs through the full depth of the material, so minor surface wear does not reveal a different underlying color beneath it. The matte texture hides water spots better than a polished surface and maintains its appearance without demanding specialized care products.
The Right Sink for Renovation Projects and New Builds
Cabinet shops, kitchen designers, and contractors specifying a countertop replacement will find this sink sized and configured for the most common sink-base scenario. Homeowners who cook regularly and find a divided sink limiting will appreciate the uncompromised basin depth and the clean countertop line an undermount delivers. The quartz composite material pairs with stone, quartz, and solid surface countertops where undermounting is the standard installation path, and its neutral Gray finish coordinates across light and dark cabinet finishes alike.
Frequently Asked Questions
What countertop materials work with an undermount sink?
Undermount sinks are standard with stone, engineered quartz, and solid surface countertops, where the countertop edge can be finished to a clean reveal. Laminate countertops are not typically compatible with undermount installation because the exposed edge is difficult to seal and finish adequately.
Is a drain assembly included with this sink?
No drain assembly is included. A standard 3-1/2 inch kitchen basket strainer or drain flange is ordered separately to match your plumbing configuration.
Where does the faucet mount on this sink?
This sink has no integrated faucet deck, so the faucet mounts through holes drilled in the countertop. Faucet placement and hole count are determined during countertop fabrication.
Can a bottom grid be added to protect the bowl?
Yes. Karran offers model-specific bottom grids sized for individual sink models. Confirm the grid part number matches the QT-722 before ordering, as grid fit is model-specific.
Does this sink require professional installation?
Undermount installation in stone or engineered quartz typically involves bonding the sink with epoxy and mechanical fasteners, work best suited to a countertop fabricator or experienced installer who has the countertop in the shop before cutting.
One Sink That Gets Out of the Way
The QT-722 removes the constraints that make a busy kitchen sink feel like it is constantly working against you. A single deep basin in durable quartz composite, sized for a 36-inch base and finished in a Gray that holds up in daily use, is a specification that stays right for the life of the kitchen.
