A Pull-Down Workhorse Built Around Day-to-Day Kitchen Demand
The Karran Dockton is a single-handle pull-down kitchen faucet with a dual-function spray head, offered here in a Stainless Steel finish. It brings a clean, professional look to the kitchen and handles the full range of daily tasks without getting in the way of the work.
Key Features
• Dual-function spray head switches between an aerated stream for everyday filling and a powerful spray for rinsing and cleaning.
• Pull-down retractable hose brings the spray head directly into the bowl and docks back to the spout when done.
• Single lever control manages both flow and temperature with one hand.
• Ceramic cartridge rated by the manufacturer to 1.5 million cycles for long-term reliable operation.
• Lead-free brass construction meets potable-water material requirements.
• Stainless Steel finish applied by a durable PVD process for a consistent, professional appearance.
Where the Dockton Earns Its Place
The pull-down format shines in busy kitchens where the spray head needs to follow the work, not the other way around. Rinsing large pots, washing produce over a wide bowl, or directing water precisely into a colander all go faster when the head comes to the task. The Dockton's retractable hose keeps that flexibility without adding clutter: the head docks back at the spout and stays there until the next reach. Single-hole mounting means it drops into most standard sink decks and countertop drillings without additional hardware or a deck plate.
For cabinet shops and contractors fitting kitchens, the Dockton pairs naturally with Karran undermount and workstation sinks that leave faucet placement to the countertop, and its single-lever operation keeps the spec simple for clients who want an uncluttered sink area.
Finish, Materials, and Long-Term Performance
The Stainless Steel finish is applied by PVD and coordinates cleanly with stainless sink bowls, workstation accessories, and matching Karran soap dispensers sold separately. Lead-free brass in the faucet body satisfies potable-water material requirements. The ceramic cartridge at the heart of the lever is rated to 1.5 million cycles, a manufacturer-stated figure that reflects the valve's expected service life under regular residential use. The nylon braided hose is color-matched to the Stainless Steel finish group, so the pull-down mechanism looks intentional rather than afterthought.
The Right Fit for This Faucet
The Dockton is a solid choice for homeowners remodeling a primary or secondary kitchen who want pull-down convenience in a finish that holds up alongside stainless appliances. Designers specifying Karran kitchen packages will find it coordinates across the stainless and spot-free stainless accessory family. For kitchen installers, its single-hole mount and included mounting hardware and supply lines keep the rough-in straightforward. The 15-31/32 inch overall height clears standard-depth bowls and leaves workroom under most upper cabinets and window sills.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the spray head lock in the docked position?
The Dockton's pull-down head is retractable and docks back at the spout after use. Check the installation sheet for the specific docking mechanism on this model; no magnetic docking claim is made by the manufacturer for this SKU.
What supply lines and mounting hardware come in the box?
Hot and cold water lines and mounting hardware are included with the faucet per Karran's standard kitchen faucet pack. A drain assembly is not included and is sold separately.
Will this faucet fit a sink with multiple pre-drilled holes?
The Dockton is designed for single-hole installation. If your sink deck has additional pre-drilled holes, a deck plate (sold separately) covers the unused openings. The faucet itself does not include a deck plate.
Does the Stainless Steel finish coordinate with Karran's Stainless Steel soap dispensers?
Yes. Karran's SD25 and SD35 soap dispensers are available in a matching Stainless Steel finish and are designed to coordinate with this faucet family. They are sold separately.
Is this faucet suitable for a workstation sink installation?
The Dockton works well with Karran workstation sinks where the faucet mounts through the countertop rather than a sink deck. Confirm the countertop has a single-hole drilling in the right position before ordering.
Practical Performance, Day After Day
The Dockton brings together a clean stainless finish, a genuinely useful pull-down spray head, and a ceramic cartridge built for the long run. It is the kind of faucet that handles the morning rush and the after-dinner cleanup without drawing attention to itself, which is exactly what a working kitchen needs.
