Chrome Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet Built for a Clean, Classic Look
The Karran Hillwood is a single-handle pull-down kitchen faucet with a dual-function spray head, finished in polished Chrome. Its traditional profile and high-arc spout make it a natural fit for kitchens where a crisp, reflective finish ties the hardware together — and where a retractable spray head needs to keep up with daily cooking and cleanup demands.
Key Features
• Dual-function spray head switches between an aerated stream and a powerful spray to suit rinsing, filling, and scrubbing tasks.
• Pull-down retractable hose carries the spray head into deep pots and wide bowls, then docks back at the spout.
• Single-lever control manages both flow rate and water temperature with one hand.
• Single-hole mounting installs through one deck or countertop opening, with mounting hardware and supply lines included.
• Ceramic cartridge rated to 1.5 million cycles for long-term reliable operation.
• Lead-free brass construction with a durable PVD-applied Chrome finish.
Where This Faucet Earns Its Place
Chrome is one of the most versatile hardware finishes in the kitchen — it reads as bright and sharp under warm incandescent light and holds its tone under cooler LEDs. The Hillwood's polished Chrome suits kitchens that lean traditional or transitional, where cabinet pulls, appliance trim, and light fixtures share a reflective silver tone. It pairs naturally above white or grey quartz countertops and works equally well over a stainless farmhouse sink or a classic undermount bowl.
The pull-down configuration earns its keep when the workflow demands range: switching from a slow fill stream for the pasta pot to a concentrated spray for scrubbing the cast iron. The 360° swivel spout serves double-bowl sinks without repositioning the whole faucet, and the high-arc clearance handles tall pots without the awkward angle-and-tip that a low-profile spout forces.
Construction and Finish
The Hillwood body is lead-free brass beneath a PVD-applied Chrome finish. PVD application bonds the finish at a molecular level, giving it better adhesion and wear resistance than conventional plating. The ceramic cartridge — rated to 1.5 million cycles by Karran — handles the daily on-off and temperature demands of a busy kitchen without the gradual drip that wears in cheaper cartridge valves. The nylon braided spray hose is color-matched to the Chrome finish, keeping the underside of the counter as tidy as the deck above.
The Right Fit for This Faucet
This faucet is sized for kitchen sinks — the spout height and reach are designed for standard and deep kitchen bowls, not bathroom vanity applications. Cabinet shops and contractors specifying hardware packages for kitchen renovations will find the single-hole mount straightforward: it works with any countertop material that accepts a standard deck drilling, and the included mounting hardware and supply lines mean fewer loose ends on installation day. Homeowners replacing an existing single-hole faucet can drop this in without re-drilling the deck. Designers building out a Chrome finish specification across a kitchen can coordinate the Hillwood with Karran's matching soap dispensers.
FAQ
Does this faucet work with a sink that has multiple pre-drilled holes?
Yes — it installs through a single hole. If the sink deck has additional unused holes, a deck plate or hole cover (sold separately) can close them.
Is Chrome a good choice for a kitchen that sees heavy use?
Chrome is one of the most durable visible finishes on faucets. The PVD application on this faucet bonds the finish more thoroughly than standard electroplating, so it holds up well against the water contact and handling of daily kitchen work.
What spray modes does the dual-function head offer?
The spray head delivers two modes: an aerated stream for general flow and filling, and a concentrated spray for rinsing produce or scrubbing cookware. The switch is on the spray head itself.
What comes in the box?
Mounting hardware and hot and cold water supply lines are included with the faucet, as stated on the Karran specification sheet.
What is the faucet's flow rate?
The Hillwood delivers water at 1.8 GPM, consistent with Karran's kitchen faucet line specifications.
Ready for the Renovation or the Restock
Whether the job is a single kitchen upgrade or a multi-unit specification, the Hillwood in Chrome delivers a reliable pull-down workhorse with a finish that coordinates across a wide range of kitchen styles — backed by Karran's ceramic cartridge durability and lead-free brass construction.
