A Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet Built for Matte Black Kitchens
The Weybridge single-handle pull-down kitchen faucet brings a controlled, low-sheen finish to installations where Matte Black hardware is the design anchor. Its retractable spray head, dual spray functions, and single-lever control make it a practical daily driver, while the Matte Black finish ties it cleanly to cabinet pulls, knobs, and other hardware throughout the kitchen.
Key Features
• Dual-function spray head switches between an aerated stream and a powerful spray for flexible task coverage.
• Retractable pull-down hose guides the spray head into deep bowls and returns to dock at the spout.
• Single-lever control manages both flow and temperature from one handle.
• Single-hole mounting fits standard single-hole sink decks and countertop drillings with mounting hardware included.
• Matte Black PVD finish delivers a non-reflective surface that coordinates with matte and flat hardware across the kitchen.
• Lead-free brass construction meets potable-water material requirements.
Everyday Tasks It Handles Well
The dual-function spray head earns its keep in the routines that fill most kitchen sinks. The aerated stream runs at a steady 1.8 GPM for filling pots and rinsing produce without splash. The spray mode switches in for scrubbing sheet pans, rinsing a colander, or hosing out a deep single bowl after heavy prep work. The pull-down hose extends the reach to every corner of the basin, which matters most in larger single bowls and in double-bowl layouts where the spout's fixed position does not cover both sides from above. The 360-degree swivel spout handles that lateral reach, letting the spray head travel where the task is rather than where the plumbing is.
Finish, Materials, and Durability
Matte Black is not merely a spray-painted coat here. The finish is applied by PVD, a process that bonds color at the molecular level for a surface that resists the wear of daily handling better than a lacquer or powder-coat finish would. The non-reflective quality of the finish holds up where high-gloss and brushed finishes show every water spot and fingerprint, which makes it a practical pairing with dark cabinet boxes and inset-door kitchens where hardware is viewed up close. The faucet body is lead-free brass, the stated material on the manufacturer's specification sheet. The ceramic cartridge is rated to 1.5 million cycles, supporting long-term drip-free operation under normal use.
Where This Faucet Fits Best
Cabinet shops and designers specifying hardware packages for dark-themed kitchens will find the Weybridge Matte Black a natural anchor piece. It coordinates directly with Matte Black cabinet pulls, bin pulls, and knobs without requiring a finish match across brands. Contractors finishing a kitchen renovation with black hardware throughout can source faucet and cabinet hardware from one order rather than hunting across suppliers. Homeowners who have already committed to Matte Black throughout the kitchen get a faucet that holds its finish in the high-contact zone around the sink. The single-hole mounting requirement is standard for most new sink installations and retrofit countertop drillings, and the included mounting hardware means the faucet is ready to install without a separate hardware run.
FAQ
Does the Matte Black finish show water spots the way a polished chrome faucet does?
Matte Black's non-reflective surface is considerably more forgiving than chrome or polished finishes when it comes to water deposits and fingerprints. Routine wiping keeps it looking consistent, and the PVD application process makes the finish resistant to the wear that comes from regular cleaning.
What is the difference between the aerated stream and the spray mode?
The aerated stream mixes air into the water flow for a soft, splash-resistant pattern suited to filling and rinsing. The spray mode concentrates flow into a more forceful pattern for scrubbing and directing water at a specific surface. The toggle on the spray head switches between the two.
Is a soap dispenser or deck plate included?
A soap dispenser is not included; Karran offers coordinating SD25 and SD35 dispensers in matching finishes, including Matte Black, as separate accessories. A deck plate is not included and is not documented for this model.
What countertop thickness does the mounting hardware accommodate?
The manufacturer's specification sheet does not publish a maximum deck thickness for this model. If the installation involves a built-up or unusually thick countertop, verify the mounting stud reach against the actual deck before installation.
Hardware That Finishes the Room
In a kitchen where Matte Black hardware is the design constant, the faucet is the piece that gets used most and noticed most. The Weybridge delivers the finish consistency and functional reliability that keeps the look coherent and the work moving.
