2" 420SS Invisible 180° Opening Hinge, Bright Stainless Steel

Invisible Hinge model #420IC is ideally suited for metal doors that are 2″ thick. The model #420IC is made of alloy steel materials. The SOSS Invisible Closer gives you a door closer that is totally invisible from either side when the door is closed. The closure rate is completely adjustable with an allen wrench after installation, and does not require removal of the closer. Installation can be either inside the door itself or inside the door jamb. Invisible Hinges open a full 180° and are a single action hinge. The Underwriters Laboratories labeled the model #420IC SOSS Invisible Hinge can be used on hollow metal, sheet metal, tin clad, steel composite swinging type fire doors and frames with a 3 hour rating. Additionally they can be used on wood core doors and frames rated up to 20 minutes. Allow one closer for every 55 lbs of door weight or portion thereof. Fire rated doors also require one fire rated hinge for every 20″ of door height or fraction thereof. The calculation that requires more hinges is the total number of hinges required. Recommended spacing for use of one closer is half the distance from the center line of the door to the center line of the top hinge. Please reference the hinge spacing drawing.
