Generous Capacity And A Warm Neutral Finish For Any Kitchen
The Karran QA-740 is an extra-large single-bowl undermount kitchen sink crafted from quartz composite in Bisque, a warm, neutral tone that pairs naturally with cream, white, and light wood cabinetry. At 34 inches wide with a 9-inch bowl depth, it handles the volume demands of busy kitchens without the visual boundary a divider creates.
Key Features
• Extra-large single-bowl design provides uninterrupted basin space to wash large pots, roasting pans, and sheet trays flat.
• 80% quartz / 20% acrylic resin construction delivers high resistance to scratches, stains, chips, and heat from everyday kitchen use.
• Undermount installation keeps the countertop surface flush and unobstructed for easy wiping and a clean countertop edge.
• Bisque finish offers a warm off-white tone that coordinates with cream, almond, and light neutral countertop palettes.
• No faucet deck on the sink body means the faucet mounts through the countertop, giving flexibility in faucet placement and hole count.
What This Sink Is Built For
A sink this wide rewards kitchens organized around volume: households that cook from scratch most nights, households that do not use a dishwasher, and any setup where a divider would cut off access to wider cookware. The unbroken 34-inch interior accommodates a full-size baking sheet lying flat on a bottom grid, and the 9-inch depth keeps splashing controlled even when the basin is full. For cabinet shops building kitchen packages and for contractors outfitting a kitchen renovation, this size and bowl configuration eliminates the friction of finding a separate soaking basin or a secondary prep sink.
Quartz Composite Construction And The Bisque Finish
Quartz composite brings two practical advantages to a sink shell: the material resists the routine abuse of a kitchen work surface, and it does not ring or amplify sound the way thinner stainless bowls can. Karran's 80% quartz and 20% acrylic resin ratio produces a surface that is highly resistant to scratches, stains, chips, and heat under normal use. The Bisque colorway runs through the full thickness of the material, so minor surface wear does not expose a contrasting substrate. In finish terms, Bisque sits between bright white and true almond — warm enough to complement butcher block and light maple, neutral enough to work alongside white shaker doors and cream-colored stone.
Who This Sink Fits Best
Designers specifying a kitchen where the countertop finish is quartz, granite, or solid surface will find the QA-740's undermount profile well suited to those materials. Homeowners renovating a kitchen with an existing or planned 36-inch sink base have a natural candidate here, as the 34-inch overall width fits within that standard cabinet width. Cabinet shops building to a specification and contractors handling sink installations will appreciate that the bowl configuration keeps the scope simple: one basin, one drain, and countertop drillings sized to the chosen faucet. The Bisque color also appeals to buyers replacing an older sink in an almond or bisque appliance suite, where a bright white sink would read as a mismatch.
Does this sink work with a garbage disposal?
A single-bowl sink pairs cleanly with a disposal because the entire bowl drains to one outlet. A disposal flange sized for the sink's drain opening is sold separately — confirm the drain opening size from the spec sheet before ordering the flange.
What countertop materials is this sink compatible with for undermounting?
The QA-740 is a standard undermount sink suitable for quartz, granite, and solid surface countertops using the countertop fabricator's standard undermount method. It is not a seamless-series sink, so it is not intended for the flush-rim laminate installation method.
Is a drain, grid, or installation template included?
The sink ships as a bare unit. A drain, bottom grid, mounting clips, and installation template are sold separately. Confirm the accessories you need before installation day.
Where does the faucet mount on this sink?
The QA-740 has no faucet deck built into the sink body. Faucet holes are drilled through the countertop behind the sink, so the faucet count and spacing can be sized to match the chosen faucet's mounting requirement.
A Sink Sized For Real Kitchen Work
The QA-740 in Bisque gives a full-size kitchen a sink basin that matches its actual workload — deep, wide, and finished in a warm neutral that holds up to years of daily use without showing every mark.
