Karran Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet for a Bold, High-Contrast Finish
The Karran Bluffton is a single-handle pull-down kitchen faucet finished in Matte Black, purpose-built for kitchens where a dark fixture anchors the design. A dual-function spray head and ceramic cartridge valve give it the performance to back up its looks, and single-hole mounting keeps the install straightforward.
Key Features
• Matte Black finish applied by PVD delivers a consistent, low-gloss surface that coordinates with dark hardware across the kitchen.
• Pull-down spray head with dual-function delivery switches between an aerated stream and a powerful spray for versatile sink-side tasks.
• Single lever control adjusts both flow and temperature with one hand, keeping operation quick when hands are loaded.
• Ceramic cartridge rated to 1.5 million cycles provides long-term valve reliability, per Karran's specification.
• Lead-free brass construction meets potable-water material requirements, as stated on the manufacturer's spec sheet.
• Single-hole mounting fits decks and countertops with a single pre-drilled or pre-cut hole, with mounting hardware included.
Built for the Demands of an Active Kitchen
A pull-down configuration puts the spray head where the work is. Whether you are rinsing produce, filling a tall stockpot, or cleaning the bowl after a heavy prep session, the retractable hose brings the spray to the task rather than making you angle the cookware to the water. The dual-function head earns its place daily: the aerated stream handles glassware and delicate rinsing, while the concentrated spray clears food scraps and residue from the bowl walls without splashing the counter. Single lever control means one hand manages everything, useful when the other hand is steadying a pan or holding a colander.
Matte Black Finish and Material Details
The Matte Black finish is applied through a PVD process, which bonds the surface treatment at the material level rather than sitting as a topcoat. The result is a flat, even tone that resists the fingerprint visibility common on polished or mirror finishes. Lead-free brass is the stated body material, and the nylon braided hose is color-matched to the Matte Black finish group. The ceramic cartridge is rated by Karran to 1.5 million cycles, meaning the valve mechanism is built to outlast the typical kitchen renovation cycle by a wide margin. Matte Black coordinates naturally with the rest of the Karran accessory line, including the matching soap dispenser, when a unified look across the sink zone matters.
Right for Kitchens Where Finish Coordination Comes First
Designers specifying hardware packages for new construction or a full kitchen renovation will find the Matte Black finish easy to pair: it reads the same on the faucet as it does on cabinet pulls, hinges, and other fixtures, without the subtle tone variation that can appear when coordinating brushed or satin finishes across brands. Homeowners doing a targeted update — replacing a dated chrome faucet without touching the sink itself — can drop this into any single-hole deck or countertop. Cabinet shops outfitting display kitchens or spec builds benefit from a faucet that photographs consistently and ships ready to demonstrate. Single-hole mounting means the install fits any standard one-hole sink or countertop drilling without additional deck plates or adapters.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Matte Black finish show water spots?
Matte and low-gloss finishes generally make water mineral deposits less visible than polished chrome or mirror finishes. The PVD application provides a durable surface, but like any faucet finish, periodic wiping keeps it looking its best. No spot-free or tarnish-proof claim is made by the manufacturer for this finish.
What is the overall height of the Bluffton in Matte Black?
The SAP description references a 22-17/32 inch height figure. Verify the exact spout reach, spout height, and overall height from the manufacturer's current specification sheet before planning clearance above the deck, as those three measurements are distinct.
Is a soap dispenser included with this faucet?
No. The soap dispenser is a separately ordered accessory. Karran offers coordinating dispensers in Matte Black (SD25 and SD35 series) that match this finish group.
Can this faucet mount in a sink with a pre-drilled faucet deck?
Yes. Single-hole mounting means it fits any sink or countertop with a single faucet hole. It does not require a deck plate for one-hole installations.
What supply connections are included?
Karran's kitchen faucet line includes mounting hardware and hot and cold water lines with applicable models. Confirm what ships in the box from the current spec sheet for this SKU before ordering supply lines separately.
