Karran Alston Touch-Free Faucet For Hands-Free Kitchen Convenience
The Karran Alston KKF215G is a touchless single-handle pull-down kitchen faucet finished in Gold, combining motion-sensor activation with a single-lever control and a retractable spray head. It is designed for busy kitchen environments where clean, hands-free water access is a daily priority.
Key Features
• Touch-Free Sensor Operation: A built-in motion sensor starts and stops water flow with a wave of the hand, leaving the lever free for temperature and flow control.
• Pull-Down Spray Head: The retractable spray head pulls down into the bowl and returns to dock at the spout when released.
• Single-Lever Control: One lever manages both flow rate and water temperature, even when sensor mode is in use.
• Ceramic Cartridge: Rated to 1.5 million cycles by the manufacturer for consistent, long-term performance.
• Lead-Free Brass Construction: The faucet body is lead-free brass beneath a durable PVD Gold finish.
• Single-Hole Mounting: Installs through one deck or countertop opening, with mounting hardware and hot and cold water lines included.
Designed for the Way Kitchens Actually Work
Cooking and cleaning leave hands coated in flour, raw protein, or grease — exactly when you most need the water on and least want to touch a handle. The Alston's motion sensor solves that directly, cutting contact with the faucet at the moments that matter. The pull-down head extends the functional reach into deep single bowls and double-bowl setups alike, making rinsing large pots or scrubbing the corners of the sink less of a stretch. The 360° swivel spout adds side-to-side coverage so the faucet serves the full work surface rather than one fixed angle. This is a faucet built around real kitchen workflows, not just aesthetics.
Gold Finish and Brass Construction Built to Last
The Gold finish is applied by PVD, a process that bonds the color at a molecular level for durability that outlasts traditional plating under daily kitchen use. Beneath the finish, lead-free brass provides the structural core. The ceramic cartridge rated to 1.5 million cycles means the internal valve holds up through years of daily starts and stops without the drip and drag that worn cartridges develop. This combination of PVD Gold on a lead-free brass body gives the Alston a finish and mechanics that hold up alongside other gold fixtures in the kitchen without requiring frequent maintenance.
The Right Fit for Renovations and New Builds
Cabinet shops finishing kitchen projects, designers specifying hardware packages, and homeowners replacing a dated faucet will all find the Alston's single-hole footprint straightforward to plan for. It works in sinks with one pre-drilled faucet hole or in countertops where the single drilling is made during fabrication. For designers coordinating a full kitchen finish package, the Gold PVD finish pairs naturally with Karran's soap dispensers and coordinating sink accessories available in matching finishes. Contractors appreciate that mounting hardware and supply lines are included, reducing the parts list on install day.
Does the motion sensor replace the handle, or do both work independently?
Both work independently. The sensor starts and stops flow hands-free, while the single lever still controls temperature and flow rate. You can use either at any time — the lever does not have to be pre-set for the sensor to work.
Is the pull-down head retractable, or does it hang loose after use?
The spray head is retractable. It pulls down into the sink on its hose and docks back at the spout when you're done, keeping the faucet looking clean between uses.
What is included in the box?
The faucet ships with mounting hardware and hot and cold water lines. A soap dispenser is not included but is available separately in coordinating finishes.
Will the Gold PVD finish coordinate with other Karran kitchen accessories?
Karran offers soap dispensers and workstation accessories in Gold and coordinating finishes. Because PVD finish tones can vary slightly across product lines and materials, compare finish samples in person before committing to a full kitchen package.
How many holes does this faucet require in the sink or countertop?
One. The Alston mounts through a single hole in the deck or countertop. Sinks with a single pre-drilled faucet hole or countertops with a single drilling are compatible. If the sink or counter has additional holes, a deck plate would cover them, though a deck plate is not included and would need to be sourced separately.
A Hands-Free Upgrade With a Finish Worth Showing Off
The Alston in Gold brings touch-free convenience and lasting PVD finish to kitchens where the hardware should work as hard as the people using it — and look the part while doing it.
