Touch-Free Control For a Hardworking Kitchen
The Karran Alston is a touchless single-handle pull-down sprayer kitchen faucet finished in Oil Rubbed Bronze. A built-in motion sensor starts and stops the water with a wave of the hand, while the single lever remains available for manual flow and temperature control whenever you want it.
Key Features
• Touch-free sensor operation activates water flow with a hand wave, keeping the faucet clean during messy prep work.
• Single lever control manages both flow and temperature from one handle alongside the sensor.
• Pull-down spray head brings the water stream into the bowl on a flexible hose for rinsing and cleanup.
• Single-hole mounting installs through one deck or countertop opening, compatible with most standard sink configurations.
• Oil Rubbed Bronze finish delivers a warm, dark tone suited to traditional and transitional kitchen styles.
• Lead-free brass construction meets material standards for potable water applications.
Where the Sensor Makes the Biggest Difference
The Alston's touch-free sensor earns its keep during the moments you least want to handle a faucet: breading chicken, kneading dough, or pulling a pot off the stove with both hands full. A wave triggers the flow and another wave shuts it off, with no transfer of food, grease, or soil to the handle. The single lever stays in the mix for moments when you want precise temperature dialed in before the water starts. The pull-down spray head handles the rest: it reaches into the bowl on its hose to rinse produce, clear the basin, or fill a pot set low in the sink. Single-hole mounting makes the Alston compatible with most undermount and top mount kitchen sinks that have a single faucet drilling, as well as countertop installations where the faucet mounts through the stone or laminate deck.
Finish, Materials, and Build
The Oil Rubbed Bronze finish gives the Alston a depth and warmth that reads traditional in a farmhouse-style kitchen and transitional in a shaker or raised-panel setting. The finish is applied by PVD, the same durable process used across the Karran kitchen line. Underneath, the faucet body is lead-free brass. The ceramic cartridge is rated to 1.5 million cycles, a manufacturer-stated figure that speaks to everyday long-term reliability without requiring replacement under normal use. Oil Rubbed Bronze pairs naturally with dark hardware, rubbed or aged bronze pulls, and quartz or fireclay sinks in warm neutral tones.
Who This Faucet Is Built For
Homeowners renovating a kitchen with a traditional or transitional aesthetic will find the Oil Rubbed Bronze finish coordinates readily with popular cabinet and hardware choices in that style range. Cabinet shops specifying faucets for kitchen projects that include a Karran sink can match the Alston to the full Karran kitchen line, including the soap dispensers available in coordinating finishes. The touch-free operation is a practical upgrade for households that cook frequently and want to limit cross-contamination at the faucet. Contractors installing a new sink base in a standard 36-inch or 33-inch kitchen run will find the single-hole requirement straightforward to accommodate.
Does the sensor replace the lever, or do both work at the same time?
Both work independently. The motion sensor activates and stops flow with a hand wave. The single lever sets flow rate and temperature manually. You can use either or both, depending on the situation.
What finish options are available if Oil Rubbed Bronze doesn't match my hardware?
The Alston is available in additional finishes across this product family. Check the other variants in this listing for the full finish selection.
How many holes does this faucet need in the sink or countertop?
It mounts through a single hole. If your sink or countertop has additional pre-drilled openings, they can be covered with a deck plate, which is sold separately.
Is a soap dispenser available in Oil Rubbed Bronze to match?
Karran offers coordinating soap dispensers in multiple finishes through its accessory line. Confirm the Oil Rubbed Bronze dispenser SKU when specifying to ensure a finish match.
Is a drain assembly included?
No drain assembly is included with the faucet. A matching drain or basket strainer should be sourced separately based on your sink's drain opening size.
A Faucet That Keeps Pace With How the Kitchen Actually Works
The Alston brings together touch-free convenience, manual lever control, and a pull-down spray head in a finish that holds up visually in traditional and transitional kitchens. It is a practical, well-specified choice for renovations, new builds, and cabinet shop specifications where the Oil Rubbed Bronze finish and hands-free operation are the brief.
