A Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet Built for Matte Black Kitchens
The Karran Scottsdale is a single-handle pull-down kitchen faucet with a dual-function spray head, offered here in Matte Black. Designed for single-hole mounting, it suits new builds and remodels where a bold, dark finish needs to hold up over years of daily kitchen use.
Key Features
• Dual-function spray head switches between an aerated stream and a powerful spray to handle both delicate rinsing and heavy-duty cleaning.
• Single lever control adjusts flow and temperature with one hand.
• Pull-down configuration brings the spray head directly into the basin on its retractable hose.
• Single-hole mounting installs through one deck or countertop opening, with mounting hardware and hot and cold water lines included.
• Ceramic cartridge rated to 1.5 million cycles for long-term smooth operation.
• Matte Black finish applied by PVD for a consistent, durable surface.
Where the Dual-Function Sprayer Earns Its Place
The pull-down head is where most of the day-to-day work happens. An aerated stream is the right choice for filling pots, rinsing vegetables, or running water without splashing. Switch to the spray mode when you need more force — rinsing stuck-on food from pans, washing down the sink basin, or directing water precisely into a corner. Having both functions on one head means you are not reaching for a separate sprayer or repositioning yourself at the sink. The retractable hose returns the head to its docked position without effort, keeping the workspace clean between tasks.
Matte Black Finish and Construction
The Matte Black finish is applied by PVD, the same physical vapor deposition process used across Karran's kitchen faucet line. PVD bonds the finish at the surface level rather than sitting on top like a coat of paint, which helps the color hold up against the bumps and handling a kitchen faucet takes every day. The faucet body is lead-free brass. The spray head runs on a nylon braided hose color-matched to the Matte Black finish, so the details stay consistent even when the head is extended. Inside, a ceramic cartridge rated to 1.5 million cycles controls flow and temperature mix.
The Right Faucet for Dark-Finish Kitchen Builds
Matte Black has become a go-to finish choice in kitchen designs that pair darker hardware with quartz, solid surface, or laminate countertops. For cabinet shops and contractors speccing an entire kitchen package, the Scottsdale Matte Black coordinates with Karran's matching Matte Black soap dispensers and drain accessories without requiring a finish cross-reference across brands. For homeowners and designers specifying a renovation, the single-hole mounting is compatible with countertop drillings that are already in place on many sink base setups, keeping the install straightforward. The 18-7/8 inch overall height gives the spout enough clearance for deep bowl undermount sinks commonly specified alongside quartz and stainless farmhouse configurations.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this faucet include the supply lines and mounting hardware?
Yes. Mounting hardware and hot and cold water lines are included with the Scottsdale per the manufacturer's specification sheet.
How does the pull-down spray head retract?
The spray head pulls down into the basin on its nylon braided hose and returns to its docked position at the spout when released. No separate docking mechanism is required.
Will this faucet fit a sink with an existing single-hole drilling?
Yes. The Scottsdale is a single-hole mount, so it installs through one deck or countertop opening. It does not require a deck plate or additional drillings.
Does the Matte Black finish coordinate with other Karran accessories?
Karran offers Matte Black soap dispensers in the SD25 and SD35 lines that share this finish family. Confirm the exact model numbers for your accessory when ordering separately.
Is the soap dispenser included?
No. The soap dispenser is sold separately. The faucet ships with mounting hardware and supply lines only.
A Dark Finish That Holds Its Own in Daily Kitchen Work
The Scottsdale Matte Black pulls together a clean, consistent look without asking you to compromise on function. The dual-function spray, PVD-applied finish, and ceramic cartridge deliver a faucet that works as well in a contractor-specified build as it does in a designed renovation.
